Education and Support

At 15 May School, our aim is to provide our students with support in many different ways; through education, English language skills, life skills, sports, performing arts, and basic vocational skills. We believe students become better individuals and have better chances of finding employment in the future when they have a well-rounded education. We do our best to make sure our students have access to a variety of programmes and training workshops.

15 May School offers free schooling for both primary (Grades 1-5) and secondary schooling (Grades 6-9). Our students studies the normal Vietnamese Curriculum with classes in Mathematics, Geography, Ethics Studies, History, Music/Arts, Literature, Biology, Sports and English (as of 2007) . The school’s highest achieving students are awarded scholarships after graduation to attend local high schools. Previous 15 May School students who's part of our Alumni can also come back and apply for University Scholarships.

The school offers regular classes however, unlike a formal school, children up to 18 years of age, can attend any grade according to their ability and level. The school's class schedule is also directed towards the children's needs, offering evening classes for children who must work during the day.

The Shelter

15 May School offers a shelter to some of it most underprivileged students. The shelter is based on-site at the school with a boys and girls dormitory. The children are provided with accomodation, three meals a day and supervision by the school's staff and security guards.

The number of residential children varies from time to time as the children sometimes return to live with their parents or return to the countryside for summer holidays.
