SEALNet team to set up the English Programme

From the 19th-30th July, 15/5 was delighted to host a team of 20 enthusiastic, dedicated and talented SEALNet (South East Asian Leadership Network) team members. These were individuals who came from various universities in several different countries including Australia, the USA and Singapore.

SEALNet's mission is to bring service to Southeast Asia and to promote the spirit of service leadership in the region

and has projects spreading out in Cambodia, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam.

SEALNet has approached 15 Mayschool in the early months of this year with the proposal for a 3 year Vocational English Programme which will be a main project for SEALNet for 2007 in Vietnam.

15 Mayschool was delighted with the proposal as it means that students from grades 6-9 each year will benefit from it, as English, for the first time, is introduced

as part of the curriculum.  15 Mayschool would like to thank the following sponsors for their contributions. Without your help, the Vocational English Programme could not have happened;

To SEALNet: for designing and printing curriculum textbooks, for donating computers and setting up our English classroom.

To International SOS for their financial support

To SPE (Society of Petroleum Engineers) for their financial support.
