English Programme

Students of 15 May School now has the opportunity to study Vocational English as part of their formal studies at the school. This is the first time ever, English is offered as a subject part of the normal curriculum and approximately 80 students from grades 6-9 attend English lessons every week. mike

Students have formal lessons twice a week and to complement what they have studied in class, students are also able to attend the English Conversation Club (ECC) which runs once a week to practice their pronunciation and speaking skills.

The English Conversation Club (ECC)

ECC runs every Tuesday mornings at the school and students attend on a voluntary basis. Here, students are split up into small groups and each group is lead by English speaking volunteers. The volunteers' role is to encourage students to speak as much English as they can and helps students to improve their listening and speaking skills through a range of interactive games and activities. These conversation sessions also helps students' confidence and social skills.

ECC runs every Tuesdays 9:30-10:30 am at the school.

Volunteers normally meet at 9:00 am to prepare for the sessions.
